B*Witched

If you were a teenager in the 90's you sure know who B*witched are. Catchy tunes, Irish vibe, dynamic coreographies, nice harmonies and lots of denim were the main features of this irish girlband. B*witched rose to fame in 1998 with their debut single C'est La Vie who topped the UK and Irish charts. In total they released two Top 10 albums, 4 number one singles and 4 Top 20 singles. The group sold 3 million albums worldwide. 
After the Spice Girls split up they were my favourite girlband and I still love them! 

Atomic Kitten

In today's blog I am going to write about one of the most famous british girlbands ever: Atomic Kitten. Atomic Kitten are an English pop girl group formed in 1998 and consist of four members: Natasha Hamilton, Liz Mc Clarnon, jenny Frost and Kerry Katona. Actually they never released anything or performed on stage as a four-piece but Jenny Frost joined the band in 2001 to replace Kerry Katona although Katona later replaced Frost when the group reformed in 2012, so we can consider 4 members in total.

Excellence

Another day, another post, another girlband!

Today's post is about Excellence (or XLNS) a swedish girlband created through the Tv Show Popstars in 2001. They had a number 1 album and 5 top 10 singles and entered Melodifestivalen in 2002. They also recorded the official Winter Olympics song. They split up shortly after the song was released. Videos and music after the jump!

No Angels

No Angels is a german girlband created by TV show Popstars. Originally a quintet, they released albums as a four-piece and are currently a trio. I have been a fan since their debut and I think they're one of the most talented vocal groups I have ever heard, their live performances are absolutely stunning. During their career they've sold more than 5'000'000 records and are considered the biggest german female band of all times.

Lollipop

 

In this post I am going to introduce one of my all-time favourite girlband. I am sure you will like them just as much as I do.

Lollipop is an italian girlband created on the italian version of the tv show Popstars. Lollipop debuted in 2001 with the hit single "Down Down Down" that reached the #1 spot on the italian charts selling more than 120'000 copies. The single was certified platinum.  

Spice Girls

The first post of this blog has to be about the biggest and more important girlband of all times: The Spice Girls. 

They need no introduction as they are well-known by people of all ages but I am spending some words to describe their incredibly succesfull career.
